Brain Freezer (voiced by Bill Mondy) is a recurring antagonist and he is the former coffee guy of the Institute of Technology. He uses a Freeze Ray to freeze things, encasing them in blocks of ice. He first appeared in Johnny vs. Brain Freezer.

Physical Appearance

When wearing his armor, he has icy blue skin with hair made of ice that spikes upwards, his armor is light blue with buttons of other colors (mostly red), his left arm has a Freeze Ray on it as well, and he can fly when in his armor with a jetpack. When not wearing his armor, he has pale skin, short messy medium brown hair and icy blue eyes. He wears dark jeans with a dark purple button-up polo shirt and jade green tennis shoes or occasionally a white dress shirt with the sleeves pulled up to the elbows and tan dress pants. In both forms, Brain Freezer has a pointy crooked nose. His new design in the Season 7 and Season 8 series has a slightly smoother design while his armor received some changes, but stays the same.

Personality

Brain Freezer can act like a "sore loser" when it comes to losing, but he is shown to be smart with his ice gadgets, but he uses his intelligence for science in an evil way. He usually behaves almost like any other villain towards Johnny, but despite this, their relationship slightly changed after the events of Johnnycicle, acting more like a frenemy towards Johnny. Compared to his civil personality, who's usually more shy and anxious, his villain persona is more loud and evil.

Despite his evil personality, he's lonely and the girls are constantly rejecting him, which he responds with madness. His reason to become evil due to rejection from the blonde girl he was interested in. This leads to his character to be sympathetic. In The Revenge of Johnny's Baby Bro, he as well as Dark Vegan and Mr. Mittens feel sorry for Johnny when Baby Bot renders him helpless. In Johnnycicle, he feels guilty for scaring away the blonde girl. He's shown some signs of jealously which is mostly noticeable in Johnny vs. Brain Freezer , when he watched Susan and Mary getting an A+ for their self generating surfboard, while he was belittled by Professor Slopsink as just a "coffee guy". After the villains defeat and imprisonment in Johnny X: A New Beginning he is seen venting to the other villains about his insecurities saying he wishes to be born a girl instead of being evil.

Powers and Abilities

Cryokinesis: With his Freeze Ray he can create and encase things into ice block.
- Frigokinetic Creature Creation: in Johnny X and the Attack of the Snowmen, Brain Freezer was able to create living snowmen.
- In Johnny X Strikes Back Brain Freezer was able to freeze Johnny's Power Poots.
Intelligence: It's unknown how Brain Freezer is smart, though he could be on Susan's and Mary's level of IQ. Although he uses his intelligence for villainy.
- Invention skills: Much like Susan and Mary, Brain Freezer also is good at creating his own inventions, usually ice related. He also was able to upgrade his Freeze Ray, which later because his signature weapon.
Flight: Brain Freezer has a jetpack behind him which allows him to fly, but only occasionally uses it.
Power Poots: Only in Johnny X: A New Beginning and in Johnny X: The Final Ending, along with other members of Johnny Stopping Evil Force 5 mistakenly got new powers that was meant for Johnny X and Super Dukey. He got power poots that later backfired him when he ate the whole cili pot at the festival.
- Power Union: Susan and Mary warned Johnny, Dukey, and the Johnny Stopping Evil Force Five to be careful when using their mutant powers when holding hands since the conjoined connection can multiply their powers by 500% which creates the ultimate but highly unstable mutant power, which has a chance of destroying their bodies. Luckily in the end, everybody survived. (Johnny X: The Final Ending)
Cold Manipulation: In Johnny Test DS, Susan mentioned that with him gone, the air returned back to warm, that's opposite when Brain Freezer is present. Currently unknow how he does it but it could be becaouse of his ice suit.

Relationships

Johnny : In earlier Seasons (1-3), Johnny and Brain Freezer were enemies, often fighting each other with Johnny constantly stopping his plans. But after Johnnycicle, their relationship changed slightly, being frenemies rather than sworn enemies. Sometimes going against each other, sometimes competing each other or even helping each other.
- In Johnny's Super New Mega Villain, Dukey says that Johnny has a history for borrowing other people's stuff, and Brain Freezer's Freeze Bombs is one of them, and obviously Brain Freezer wasn't happy about it.
Dukey: Like Johnny, he seems to view Dukey much like how he does with Johnny.
Susan and Mary: Possibly views them much like Johnny.
Mr. Mittens: a fellow villian, often teaming up together (Johnny Cart Racing and Johnny's Amazing Race). Despite him sometimes yelling at Brain Freezer (example in Johnny X: the Final Ending and Johnny Cart Race), they overall seem to be in good terms, mostly because of their same interests and desires.
Blonde girl: She appears in a flashback in Johnnycicle, Brain Freezer was seen having a romantic interest with her, but she rejects him and forces him to turn into a villian. But he felt remorse after scaring the girl away.
Dark Vegan: Not much is known about their relationship, but they seem to be in good terms. In Johnny's Battle Royale 2 Brain Freezer is seen talking with Dark Vegan. Although in The Revenge of Johnny's Baby Bro, Brain Freezer was seen disagreeing with Dark Vegan when he said that he doesn't feel sorry for Johnny after Baby Bot renders him helpless, in which DV changes his opinion.
Zizrar: They don't interact much, but in Johnny X: A New Beginning, he was shown being annoyed after Zizrar accidentally brings down the evil lair after making a hole on the floor.

Jonny Test DS game: Second antagonist who was hired by Bling Bling Boy to distract Johnny, so that he can spam their emails with the links to Susan's and Mary's simulator. He appeares after beating Wacko. He serves as the boss on Level 2.4

In The Revenge of Johnny's Baby Bro despite him, Mr Mittens, and Dark Vegan saving Johnny, Brain Freezer was the first one to act before Baby Bot can hit Johnny (or it could be that this was their plan). Although he only did it so that he, Dark Vegan and Mittens can have their own satisfaction of destroying Johnny and they found Baby Bot creepy.
No voice actor for Brain Freezer was credited in the ending credits for episodes he appears in until Johnny's Amazing Race

Even after his reform, Brain Freezer went back being evil for unknown reasons. This could be either because of status quo or he just likes being evil, but hasn't shown interest into world domination.
According to one of Johnny Test writers on 4chan, there was supposed to be an episode about Brain Freezer and Mary, however this episode was scrapped.
While his age has not been confirmed yet, he could be around 16 years old. This is because in Johnny X: The Final Ending, when Jillian says that she would kiss Johnny if he was 16, with Brain Freezer jumping in that he would take the kiss.
- Also in Johnny's First Annual Snowball, he was shown to own a car, which according to US law, teens can have if they are 16 or older.
A character titled “Coldfinger” from the Australian-Canadian series “SheZow” is completely similar to him since they’re both snarky and evil ice-based characters with blue hair and skin who threaten to freeze others and everything to provoke havoc as a villain.
In Johnnycicle, Dukey openly said that Brain Freezer is unattractive.
